I love living as well

sad-woman

It’s been almost seven months
breaking his mom’s heart,
with a piece of paper saying,
“Mom, I’ll pursue my opportunities,
Sorry but, cannot have the same fate
as you do.”

She was young and pretty and,
that was supposed to break
any ice awaiting her destiny.

She applied to modeling agencies,
then neither news nor appointments.
And, it did not take long to decide
to apply to night clubs and bars
where there was a demand
and she had a life to carry on.

Matt was the bartender
who showed affection
or rather, he had a crush on,
she found the warmth
with him on the cold days
that December, of Manhattan.

One morning,
she woke up to a big voidness.
She could not find all her money,
And her purse was gone,
even her wrist watch and bracelet…
Matt was not the one
as she pictured on her mind.
Now life was really blue
actually as dark as the hell night,
nobody was by her
to help her out

All alone and clueless
wandering on the streets
without any aim,
she found herself
gazing at the Hudson River
It was strange,
what she saw was
her mom crying, sad ever.
it was also late
to say “I’m sorry.”
And, she thought,
It would be good,
If she would let her down
into the depth of the river.
The water should’ve been
icy cold but, life had been
colder to and dismayed her.
“T’morrow,” she thought,
“The Sun will be up again.”
“but, she won’t catch
my frozen body.Oh God!
I love living as well.
But I cannot go back home,
honestly nowhere to go,
except…”

When she climbed up
on the rails,
she wanted to stop,
but, could not balance her body.

The next morning,
the papers were inquiring
about her identity.
